The lounge to our self-catering had a most welcomed Christmas tree with lights, garland and baubles. The inside of the hotel was festive. What a great place to begin the month of December if you go to watch the Cromer shows. Reception at helpful and friendly. Nice to have staff that enjoy their employment.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and we couldn't fault them in any way. The bedroom, which was in the main hotel, was very clean and comfortable, and an interesting history of both the hotel, and the room we stayed in, was included in the room folder, which we found interesting reading. We liked the breakfast menu and went for the Grove full English which did not disappoint

Dun forget to book private use of the indoor heated pool. Breakfast is best I've had in the country, kipper, salmon, pancakes, waffles, full English, more. Amenities were nice enough. Spacious rooms, lots of tea, coffee, biscuits. Just perfect for our short break here. And only 10+ minutes walk to town. Was cold and rainy yet we still walked everyday to town even at night to help digest our dinner. Totally enjoyed our stay.

We booked a Christmas Afternoon Tea on the Monday before Christmas. We were very surprised that we were the only customers, although another couple came in a little after us. We therefore had a choice of seating locations and we opted for the cozy front room with the fire. Service was great and the food was delicious. We very much appreciated the large teapots, and the Christmas theme was a nice seasonal twist. We would definitely come again for a Christmas treat!

I've stayed here a number of times over the years and always loved it. The garden rooms are great especially if you have a dog. You can walk them down to the seafront through the garden then just across the road - it is the coast road so quite busy to cross.

We came for a short stay at the Grove with extended family some of whom stayed in the garden rooms. We had a double room in the main hotel building. The room was spotlessly clean. Although on the small side the room was perfect with a very comfortable bed, desk and chair, easy chair and hanging space. The bathroom had obviously been recently updated and was very well appointed. The instant electric shower providing unlimited hot water. Good quality toiletries were provided. The staff were delightful, well informed and very helpful throughout the entire stay. We took advantage of the heated swimming pool which was very popular with the whole family. The water temperature was just right , not too hot as many hotel pools are while the pool surround heating was powerful and kept those sitting out of any activities very warm. The highlight was the superb breakfast, several types of cereal, yoghurt fruit pots, a toaster for toast and jam or marmalade, incredible fruit salads and a good choice of cooked breakfast options which were all absolutely delicious. Unlimited excellent choice of tea and coffee. It was the first time we'd been to a hotel where even the youngest children ate all of the cooked breakfast. One of our party was taken ill on our final morning and the staff were superb, they even kept the breakfast service open until well after normal times so that we could all have breakfast and provided support and help. I cannot recommend The Grove highly enough and we will definitely be returning.

What a wonderful experience staying over Christmas at the Grove . The whole 4 days was unplanned due to an illness in the family. The staff were so helpful, the swimming pool warm and clean. The staff were brilliant and the food extremely good. You can walk out the back of the garden to the coastal path and either down to the beach or along the top of the cliff to Cromer. Check out the Red Lion, 12 real ales and a real fire.
